I recently worked with Bloom & Wild to review their super lovely Lemon Aid Kit, released for the August Bank Holiday weekend. The kit was fantastic and made all the more special by the inclusion of a wonderful bottle of Elderbrook Raspberry, Cranberry and Blueberry cordial.
The team at Elderbrook very kindly sent me their other two flavoured cordials, Lime, Mint and Baobab and with Mango, Passion Fruit and Goji Berry… They are truly delicious and I’m really uncertain as to which one is my favourite – they are all lovely! I must admit I still have a soft spot for the Raspberry cordial which somehow seems perfect for this time of year!
Elderbrook blend fruit, superfoods and add some natural sweetness to their cordials using coconut nectar, which is low GI and full of amino acids, vitamin C and calcium. It is also very low in natural sugar.
Their cordials can be added to water for a refreshing drink. Simply pour into a glass, (enough to cover the bottom of the glass is perfect), and add still or sparkling water and a little ice as required. Each bottle makes approximately ten 250ml drinks and can be delivered directly in the post to your work or home.
If you’re aiming to be a little more adventurous with your cordials, then there are lots of amazing cocktails you could try! You’ll also have lots of fun during the ‘discovery’ process too!
Here’s my top three ideas for making your own Elderbrook drinks using their delicious cordials…
1. A rich, earthy and delicious iced vodka cocktail, with added Raspberry, Cranberry and Blueberry cordial.
2. A light and completely refreshing champagne cocktail, with added Mango, Passion Fruit and Goji Berry cordial.
3. A rum based Mojito, with lemongrass and the Lime, Mint and Baobab cocktail.
Whether you choose one of these drinks or devise one of your own, have fun!
